Rules

Betting Rules

  1. The posted dates and times of fixtures are purely informational. Sharp.ag cannot guarantee accuracy. An incorrectly posted date and/or time is not grounds for voiding bets.
  2. If a fixture is started and isn’t completed within 30 hours of its officially planned starting time, then all bets on that fixture will be voided. The exceptions to this rule are:
    1. Periods that are played to completion.
    2. Fixtures which in their normal course can take longer than 30 hours, such as golf tournaments.
    3. Sport-specific exceptions laid out in the rules section for each individual sport.
    4. Bets on the “First Team to Score” have action as soon as there is a score, regardless of whether the fixture is completed.
  3. If a fixture isn't started 12 hours after its scheduled starting time all bets on that fixture will be voided.
  4. The result of a fixture will be the final determination by the fixture’s governing body on the date of the fixture’s completion. Sharp.ag does not recognise protested or overturned decisions. The result of bets on a fixture suspended after the start of competition will be decided according to the betting rules specified for that sport. If nothing is specified in the sport’s rules, then General Rule #2 applies.
  5. Sharp.ag aims to display to bettors live match information via a scoreboard, which is provided by a third party. Sharp.ag cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information displayed on this scoreboard. Any incorrect scores or stats displayed on the scoreboard are not grounds for bets to be voided. In-Play bets are placed using the score, corner or booking information displayed on the market offering and/or Bet Slip at time of placement and only information displayed incorrectly in these locations gives grounds for bets to be voided.
  6. Unless otherwise specified in a particular sport’s rules, all bets on a fixture will be voided if the venue is changed.
  7. Bets on a specific period count only the scoring in that period, and are unaffected by what happens in prior or subsequent periods. If for any reason a fixture is not completed within the time specified in our rules, bets on the full fixture will be voided. Any periods that have been completed will have action.
  8. If a “Draw” price is offered in a Money Line market, and the draw happens, then bets on each team lose. If a draw is not offered and a draw happens, then bets on both teams will be voided.
  9. In any fixture involving a forfeit, walkover, or any other event where the fixture is considered complete without having been played, all bets will be voided, regardless of how the governing body of its league scores it.
  10. If a market includes exactly one or two names of competitors, then all listed competitors must participate in the fixture for the bet to have action. When a market is reopened between stages of an event and a competitor withdraws prior to their next scheduled stage, all bets placed since the last stage they completed will be void.
  11. Misspellings, typographical errors, teams changing names, and incorrect leagues are not grounds for bets to be voided, as long as it is clear based on the context what the intended fixture was.
  12. If a fixture is offered with an incorrect number of rounds or periods or with a non-standard duration for the sport without it being indicated, all bets on that fixture will be voided.
  13. For aggregate Home/Away score markets of a league on a Day (or Week in the case of American football), if all fixtures on that Day/Week are not played to completion all bets on the market will be voided.
  14. Multi-way betting is "ALL-IN": bets always have action unless a stipulation is added to the market that a certain competitor must start for action. If such a stipulation is included, then all bets on all competitors will be voided if the stipulated competitor does not start in that specific event.
  15. All winning bets on Multi-Way markets are paid out at full odds, regardless of the number of winners.
  16. If a market is offered with “The Field” as a betting option, named teams or competitors must beat every other competitor for a bet on that competitor to win. If a listed competitor ties for a win, bets on the tied competitors will be voided, and all other bets will be lost.
  17. All settled markets are final after 72 hours and no queries will be entertained after that period of time. Within 72 hours after markets are settled, Sharp.ag will only reset or correct the results due to human error, system error or mistakes made by the referring results source.
  18. Sharp.ag reserves the right to deem any bet void at any time if it deems the bet to have been made in a fraudulent manner.
  19. All bets will be accepted or rejected purely at Sharp.ag's discretion. In-Play bets may be subject to a short delay before they are accepted and/or they will be kept pending during dangerous situations at Sharp.ag’s discretion.
  20. If there is an obvious error in the odds or limit of a market, bets on that market may be voided. If for any reason a bet is accepted after a fixture has begun (other than clearly indicated Live In-Play betting) bets will have action unless a material advantage has been gained. Sharp.ag reserves the right to deem the bet void if it determines that an advantage has been gained.
  21. The maximum accumulated winnings for Multiple Bets in one calendar day is $250,000.
  22. In case of any contradictions: Market Rules take precedence over Sport Rules; which take precedence over General Rules.

  1. If a game is suspended with fewer than 55 minutes completed and is not completed within 12 hours of suspension, all bets on the Game-period will be voided and bets on completed periods will have action. If a game is suspended after 55 minutes of play and not resumed within 12 hours of suspension, then regardless of whether the game is completed at a later date or not, all bets will have action and the score when the game was suspended will be considered final. In addition, if the cumulative playing time of all quarters is less than 55 minutes, Full-game markets will have no action and bets will be deemed void.
  2. If a game is not started within 12 hours of its originally scheduled time all bets will be voided.
  3. Bets on the Game and 2nd Half-periods include points scored in overtime.
  4. NFL Pro Bowl wagers will have action regardless of number of periods played and regardless of the minutes played in each period.

American Football Market Rules

  1. Team to Score Next: Extra Points and 2-Point Conversions are not considered a score. The “point after try” is considered part of scoring the Touchdown.
  2. Passing Statistics: Bets will be deemed void if a named Quarterback doesn’t attempt at least one pass.
  3. Rushing Statistics Over/Under: If the named competitor plays but has no rushing attempts, their total and first attempted rushing yardage is considered to be zero.
  4. Receiving Statistics Over/Under: If a named Receiver plays, but does not have a catch, their total and first attempted receiving yardage is considered to be zero.
  5. Time of Score: Seconds listed in the market are inclusive, so events that happen on that second of game time are counted.
  6. First 1st Down: 1st downs gained on penalties and changes of possession are not counted.
  7. Unanswered Scores: Extra Points and 2-Point Conversions are counted as part of the Touchdown and not considered consecutive scoring events. Any return by the opposition on an Extra Point or 2-Point Conversion attempt also does not count towards these markets.
  8. Longest Touchdown: If there are no Touchdowns, these markets will be voided.
  9. Entertainment Props: For contests involving the length of a song, such as the National Anthem, the length will be measured from when the artist starts singing until the point where the artist stops singing the song. Any instrumental accompaniment before or after the actual singing will not count toward length of song.
  10. Super Bowl Celebrity Props: For contests involving celebrities at the Super Bowl, that celebrity must be in attendance for bets to have action.
  11. Special Teams and Defensive Touchdowns: The only Touchdowns considered to be Special Teams Touchdowns are on plays where the ball is actually kicked or punted (these include: Kickoff Returns, Punt Returns, returns of a fumbled Kickoff Return, returns of a fumbled Punt Return, blocked Field Goal Returns, or blocked Punt Returns). A fake Field Goal or fake Punt which results in a Touchdown by the team that snapped the ball is considered an offensive Touchdown.
  12. Competitor to Score a Touchdown: Passing for a Touchdown is not considered scoring a Touchdown. Only the competitor who has possession of the ball in the End Zone is considered to have scored the Touchdown.
  13. Pass Interference Penalties: Both offensive and defensive Interference counts; however, the penalty must be accepted and enforced on the play to be considered valid. If the penalty is declined or if there are offsetting penalties negating enforcement of Interference, then the winner will be determined on the next Interference penalty.
  14. Holding Penalties: Both offensive and defensive Holding counts; however, the penalty must be accepted and enforced on the play to be considered valid. If the penalty is declined or if there are offsetting penalties negating enforcement of Holding, then the winner will be determined on the next Holding penalty.
  15. Longest Kickoff Return: Bets will be deemed void if each team doesn’t have at least one Kickoff Return.
  16. Longest Punt Return: Bets will be deemed void if each team doesn’t have at least one Punt Return.
  17. Number of Different Players to Score: All scoring plays except Safeties are counted.
  18. First Touchdown Pass Distance Over/Under: Bets are deemed void if the named Quarterback doesn’t complete at least one Touchdown Pass.
  19. AFC/NFC Champion Futures: The champion of each conference is the team that reaches the Super Bowl.
  20. Regular Season Wins: Markets will be settled when a team exceeds their win total and is expected to play all 17 regular season games or cannot possibly exceed their win total, given their number of games remaining, and are expected to play all 17 regular season games. If there is any reasonable doubt about whether or not a team will play 17 regular season games, the team’s Regular Season Wins market won't be settled until the end of the regular season. Once the Regular Season Wins markets have been settled, they will not be changed, even if a team subsequently plays fewer than 17 games, as the result has been established. Games that the NFL deems as a forfeit will be counted as a played game, and whatever result the NFL establishes for the teams in a forfeited game will count for those teams' season wins.
  21. NCAA Football Season Wins: Bowl games and Conference Championship games are not counted towards Regular Season Wins totals. Teams must play every scheduled regular season game for action.
  22. NCAA Football Conference Championship Futures: If the conference has an official championship game, the winner of that game is considered to have won that conference. For Divisional Odds within the conferences, the team participating in the Conference Championship game is considered to have won that division.
  23. NFL Weekly Markets: If any game in the listed week is cancelled or postponed, and not completed within 96 hours of its scheduled start time, all weekly markets will be voided, regardless of the outcome of any specific game.
  24. Heisman Trophy Winner Yes/No: Bets made before the competitor’s team’s first scheduled game will be voided if the competitor does not play in that game.
  25. Tied After First Score: “Yes” will be considered the winner if the game is tied any time after the first score, including if it is tied following a Touchdown, before the Extra Point or 2-Point Conversion attempt.
  26. Kickoff/Punt Return Match-ups: Both listed competitors must have at least one Kick/Punt Return for action.
  27. Last Score Markets: Only Touchdowns, Field Goals and Safeties will be counted. Extra Points and 2-Point Conversions following Touchdowns will not.
  28. Punt Markets: A blocked Punt will count as a Punt for Team Punt markets, but not count towards markets for a competitor’s number of Punts.
  29. Punter Markets: In all markets with an individual Punter named - except “Total Punts by a Punter Over/Under” - that punter must have at least one Punt for action.
  30. Longest and Shortest Made Field Goal: Bets will be deemed void if there are no successful Field Goals.
  31. Offensive Drive: An offensive Touchdown or Field Goal will count as an Offensive Score. If a team scores a Touchdown on a fake Punt or a fake Field Goal, that will be counted as an Offensive Score. The events that will end a specific Offensive Drive are:
    1. Offensive Score (Touchdown or Field Goal)
    2. Safety
    3. Turnover (even if the fumble or interception is fumbled back to the team who originally snapped the ball)
    4. Turnover on Downs
    5. Punt (not negated by penalty)
    6. Field Goal attempt (not negated by penalty)
    7. End of Half
    8. End of Regulation or Overtime
  32. First or Last Touchdown Markets: For propositions for an individual to score (or not score) the first or last Touchdown, the proposition will be graded based on the first (or last) Touchdown of the game scored by either team. If there is no Touchdown scored in the game, all contests for specific players will have action (‘Under’ bets would win).
  33. In addition to all other rules listed for individual statistical markets, the particular player must play for action.
  34. NFL Player Statistics Settlements: Due to the fact that the NFL sometimes reviews and revises statistics soon after games end, we will wait until approximately 23:00 PT to settle all contests for player statistics markets based on official NFL statistics. Once settlement has occurred on NFL player statistics markets, it will be final, and will not be revised for any subsequent NFL statistical changes.

  1. Match-ups Markets: The competitor who advances to the latest round of competition will be considered the winner. If both competitors are knocked out in the same preliminary round but compete in the same race, starting at the same time, then the better finisher in that race will be considered the winner. If both contestants are knocked out in the same preliminary round but race in separate heats, then regardless of the time or finish bets will be deemed void. If both competitors make the final round of competition, the better finisher in that round will be the winner.

  1. All Aussie Rules matches must complete at least 80 minutes of play to have action, except for matches which are scheduled to play less time.

  1. If a Race or Qualifier is delayed for any reason, if the delay lasts longer than 48 hours all bets will be voided.
  2. The start of any Race is defined as the signal to start the warm-up lap.
  3. Race Match Betting - Bets will be settled on the official classification at the time of podium presentation.

Auto Racing Market Rules

  1. Qualifying: All Qualifying bets on a competitor have action once that competitor starts qualifying. Subsequent penalties or demotions will not affect the results of bets. If a competitor does not start qualifying, bets on that competitor qualifying or on qualifying position will be voided.

  1. If a competitor or team retires or is disqualified, bets on the Match Money Line market will have action as long as one Game has been completed, otherwise these bets will be voided. Bets on other markets will be voided unless the period was played to completion before the retirement or disqualification.

  1. Unless otherwise specified all Match-period markets are for regulation time only and do not include overtime.
  2. If the format of a match is changed from two halves of 45 minutes to three periods of 30 minutes, bets on the Match-period will have action and bets on all other periods will be voided.

  1. A pitcher is considered to have started a game once they have thrown the first pitch for their team. A non-pitcher is considered to have started the game once they are in the opening line-up and have made their first plate appearance.
  2. If a market includes exactly one or two names of competitors, then all listed competitors must start the game for the bet to have action. The exception to this rule is markets for competitor “Save” statistics which will have action regardless of whether or not the competitor plays in the game.
  3. Bets made before the start of the game on the Game-period Money Line market have action as long as at least 5 innings (or 4.5 innings if the Home team is winning) are completed. If a game is called before 9 innings (or 8.5 innings if the Home team wins) are complete, the score at the end of the last completed inning will be considered final, unless the game is called during the bottom half of one of these innings and the Home team has taken the lead. In this specific case, the actual score of the game will be used to grade the Game-period Money Line for pre-game bets. All Game-period markets, other than the Money Line, have action only once 9 innings (or 8.5 if Home team wins) are completed. Periods that have been played to completion will have action even if the game is not completed.
  4. All Game-period In-Play markets require that the game be played to completion with 9 innings (or 8.5 if Home team wins) to have action. Periods that have been played to completion will have action even if the game is not played to completion.
  5. In games where a “Mercy Rule” is expressly part of the rules, all Periods are considered to have been played to completion when a Mercy Rule is invoked.
  6. Bets on the 1st Half-period of baseball games are based on the results at the conclusion of five innings of play. Bets made before the game on the 1st Half-period Handicap and Money Line markets have action once five innings are played or 4.5 innings if the game is called at 4.5 innings and the Home team is declared the winner. All other 1st Half markets (including the In-Play 1st Half Handicap and Money Line markets) require at least five innings to be played for action.
  7. If an MLB game is suspended in order to be resumed more than 12 hours from the first pitch, all pre-game bets on the Game-period markets will be deemed void and bets on completed periods will have action. With the exceptions of:
    1. MLB Playoff and Play-In games, which will have action whenever the game is completed.
    2. Game-period Money Line bets, which have action based on the score at the end of the last completed inning as long as at least 5 innings (or 4.5 innings if the Home team is winning) are completed.
    3. Competitor Statistics Markets will have action if the game is completed on the day of the first pitch or the following day.
    4. Markets other than Competitor Statistics Markets for Regular Season Games suspended after 9 innings have been completed will have action based on the score at the end of the last completed inning.
  8. If an MLB game is suspended in order to be resumed more than 30 hours from the first pitch, all Live bets on the Game-period markets will be deemed void and bets on completed periods will have action. If a game is suspended and resumed within 30 hours of the first pitch, all Live bets will have action when their periods are completed. Live bets on MLB Playoff and Play-In games will have action whenever the game is completed.
  9. In circumstances when the “Home” team is not playing at their home stadium, the team whose starting pitcher throws the very first pitch of the game is considered the Home team.
  10. Seven Inning Doubleheader Rules:
    1. Bets made before the start of the game on the Game-period Money Line market have action as long as at least 5 innings (or 4.5 innings if the Home team is winning) are completed. All Game-period markets, other than the Money Line, have action only once 7 innings or (6.5 if Home team wins) are completed. Periods that have been played to completion will have action even if the game is not completed.
    2. All Game-period In-Play markets require that the game be played to completion with 7 innings (or 6.5 if Home team wins) to have action. Periods that have been played to completion will have action even if the game is not played to completion.
    3. All bets on Seven Inning Doubleheader games will be voided if it is not indicated that it is a seven-inning game.
    4. If a Seven Inning game is not completed, Baseball Rules 3, 7, and 8 apply with the consideration that “7 innings (6.5 if home team wins)” replaces “9 innings (8.5 if home team wins)”.
  11. Baseball bets have action at the stated odds regardless of the starting pitcher for either team.
  12. MLB/Minor League Baseball G1/G2 DOUBLEHEADER: We will designate MLB/Minor League Baseball doubleheader games with a G1 or G2 (Game 1 or Game 2) designation. If we have a game posted without the G1 or G2 designation and MLB/Minor League Baseball announces a doubleheader for those teams on that day, the game without the G1/G2 designation and all associated contests for that game without the G1 or G2 designation will have no action.

Baseball Market Rules

  1. MLB Regular Season Wins: Will be settled when a team exceeds their win total and is expected to play at least 158 games or cannot possibly exceed their win total given their number of games remaining and is expected to play at least 158 games. If there is any reasonable doubt as to whether or not a team will play at least 158 games, their Season Wins markets won’t be settled until they do. Any additional tiebreaker games (such as Wildcard or Division) will not be counted towards Regular Season Wins. Once Season Wins markets have been settled, they will not be changed, even if a team plays fewer games than expected for any reason.
  2. MLB AL/NL Pennant Champion: Each league's pennant winner will be the team that represents that league in the World Series.
  3. Total Bases: A Single is worth one, a Double is worth two, a Triple is worth three, a Home Run is worth four. No other type of play counts towards Total Bases markets.
  4. Runs Allowed: Earned and Unearned Runs are counted.
  5. Innings Pitched: Each inning completed is worth one, and each out recorded thereafter worth 0.1.
  6. Division Winner: Markets are resulted based on standings at the end of the season, as long as every team in the division has played at least 90% of their scheduled games. If teams are tied in terms of record, the winner will be 1) the winner of the tiebreaker game or 2) the team declared the winner by the league's tiebreaker system for seeding playoff teams.
  7. Season-Long Home Run Leader: If the Home Run lead is tied, Batting Average will be used as the tiebreaker.
  8. Season-Long Competitor Match-ups: If either competitor does not play in at least one of his team’s first 10 games all bets will be deemed void.
  9. Hits + Runs + Errors Markets: Games must be played to completion (at least 9 innings or 8.5 innings if Home team wins) for action. If a game is called or suspended in extra innings, the results will be determined after the last completed inning, unless the Home team scores to tie in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the result is determined at the time the game is called.
  10. No-Hitters Markets: Individual and combined No-Hitters are counted as long as the game is played to completion.
  11. Competitor Statistics Markets: Games must be played to completion (at least 9 innings or 8.5 innings if Home team wins) for action. If a game is suspended before completion and the game is resumed the following day, statistics from both days will be counted towards the results of these markets. If the game is not resumed the following day, all bets will be voided. In addition, the player listed must start for bets on his statistical markets to have action.
  12. Competitor Statistic Match-Up Markets: All bets have action as long as both competitors start the game and the game is played to completion.
  13. Home/Away Markets: All scheduled games, as indicated in the offering, must complete nine innings or 8.5 innings (if the home team is ahead). If a game is suspended after at least nine innings have been completed, the score after the last fully completed inning will be used for the Home/Away bet.
  14. MLB Regular Season Win Percentage: Bets will be settled at the conclusion of the Regular Season. Bets have action as long as the team has completed at least 140 Regular Season games. Any Play-In Games are NOT considered for the purposes of Regular Season Win Percentage.
  15. MLB Plate Appearance Markets: MLB Plate Appearance Markets are settled according to the outcome seen in the game’s official box score, with the exception that all bets will be voided on Sacrifice Bunts, Intentional Walks, and Catcher Interference. If a Plate Appearance begins in an inning and is not concluded in that inning (because of a baserunner caught stealing for the third out or an injured batter, for example) all bets on that Plate Appearance will be deemed void and the market will be offered again in the next inning if applicable.
  16. MLB All-Star Game - Home Run Contest: If, at the end of 9 innings, in the MLB All-Star Game there is a Home Run Contest to determine the winning team, Sharp.ag shall award one run to the Home Run Contest winning team. All full game markets will be graded incorporating that additional run. For example, if the MLB All-Star Game is tied 4-4 after 9 innings and the American League wins the subsequent Home Run Derby, then the American League will be declared the winner 5-4 and all full game bets will be graded based on the 5-4 score.

  1. In the NBA, all bets on the Game-period will be voided if fewer than 43 minutes are completed. In all other competitions, bets on the Game-period will be voided if fewer than 35 minutes are completed. Bets on any periods that have been played to completion will have action.
  2. If an "Elam Ending" is used, the target score has to be reached for bets to have action for any period that includes such an ending. All bets will be settled based on the final score once the target score is reached, regardless of the actual duration of the game.
  3. Bets on the Game and 2nd-Half periods include all overtimes played in their result.

Once Season Wins markets have been settled, they will not be changed, even if a team plays fewer than 80 games as the result has been established.
  2. NBA Conference Winners: For team to win the Conference Winner Futures, the winner of the respective Conference will be the team that reaches the NBA Finals.

At Sharp.ag, we believe gambling should always be fun, engaging, and a source of entertainment. Whether you’re betting on sports or enjoying our casino games, our goal is to offer a safe and enjoyable environment for all our players.
We also understand that, for some individuals, gambling can become more than just a game. When not kept in check, it may affect financial stability and personal relationships. Sharp.ag is committed to promoting responsible gaming and supporting those who may need help.

Is Gambling Becoming a Problem?

To help identify if gambling may be negatively impacting your life, ask yourself the following:

  • Do you gamble to escape a boring or unhappy life?
  • When you run out of money, do you feel desperate and need to gamble again as soon as possible?
  • Do you gamble until your last dollar is gone, even spending what was meant for essentials?
  • Have you ever lied about how much time or money you spend gambling?
  • Have you lost interest in family, friends, or hobbies due to gambling?
  • After losing, do you feel the need to win it all back immediately?
  • Do arguments, frustrations, or disappointments drive you to gamble?
  • Do you ever feel depressed or think of harming yourself because of gambling?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you may be experiencing signs of problem gambling.
